1/8 AXP8 Gilamon 2.2 4X4 RTR Brushed Trail Buggy

Introducing the latest release from Axial Adventure – the AXP8 Gilamon – it’s a 1:8 scale 2.2 wheel size caged Trail Buggy, named after the Gila monster, which is the largest lizard in the US. It’s built to take on the most technical terrain and combines the best of the Ryft, Bomber and Capra into a beast of an RC.

This vehicle has a pretty massive 14.5” wheelbase and it weighs 7lbs. One all new feature i’ve never seen before on an RC – it’s equipped with Axial Selectable Drive (or ASD) in the rear. There’s a micro servo on the rear axle that is controlled by the 3rd channel switch on your transmitter which allows you to momentarily lock out either the rear driver or passenger wheel – it’s’ the RC version of cutting brakes. It allows the vehicle to turn tight, even more than a traditional dig unit we’ve seen on previous Axial releases. You can also set up ASD in the front, you’ll have to purchase the components for that separately. 

It also includes color changing LEDS!! You can cycle through 7 different colors. Big fan of that!

You’ll need to provide your own 2 or 3S battery with an IC3/EC3 connector or an adapter to your battery of choice, as well as a charger. It can fit a wide range of sizes. I’m using a 4000mah Spektrum 3s myself.
